my sweet enchanter

Posted by Robert Anderson On Monday, April 11, 2011 1 comments

unnoticed is the ripening beauty of
my sweet enchanter
at intervals with yesterday's vagueness to
tomorrow's dawn

i bore her- ever beautiful
from the garden you laid out before you left

she reminds me of a time
when sunsets meant the world to me
when i would spend each of them
holding you

yet sadly, she'll go unnoticed
for i am far too mesmerized
by this day's vaporous eventide

The Soul of An Angel

Somewhere within, across the distance
Escaping my slumber and dreams
These frozen images beyond the twilight
Do mystify me in beauty

By roses thorns which have bled my finger
And prayers I've cried to the stars
I seek out the night forever for hope
In a mirror which bares my heart

I've wilted and loved to see all the while
The moment I can fly free
To embrace deep within every moment as true
Just as charms and wishes that keep

The soul of an angel who cries down from heaven
Trying to wither away the pain
Of every nightmare this world had endured
To hold it all again

Beauty and Her Song

Behold! For such light shines deep within
Emotionally; the shades of their love so fair
Anchored to the blanket of stars that do cover
Unity within the moments they've shared
Time of a lifetime that had beautifully bloomed
Yesterday's love they unfurled one sweet winter

And by the envious height of the moon
No flame had held to the passion they rendered
Depths of his righteousness she consumed

Heated so lovely in all ecstasy

Even in the garden he laid out for her
Roses had grew by the painted sunbeams

So in song she would soothe the love she adored
Oh when it was their time of romance
Not even death could cease them to soar
Greatly they've taken their fate but for chance

Concrete Rose

My final breath was taken when she laid to rest
The vaguest notion that we both could be
Within a dream which I have learned to dream obsessed
I wonder how she can deny my plea

Each time I try to touch her heart she walks away
Why does she choose to leave me in my tears
I've died a thousand times beneath the skies of gray
Within myself where ugliness appears

The stars divinity bore life in her despair
Now in that sense we share the same domain
So much I'll ebb in solace through each thought I bear
And how that oft unveils my love in vain

She is the concrete rose that I wish I could hold
Which heaven thought to lace with ghostly pain
Her spirit's still the beauty yet so sadly told
Is how she won't return to me again
