into exile

in place

of all my certainty

a single thought

of why it seemed

i had no choice in the matter

with exile as my dearest comfort

i hold what might have been

and cry

apparition

mesmerized,
i'm lost in a dream where
she stands against the midnight sky
her breath...  betrayed by how the touch
of winter arouses the delectable air
across the slender light of the moon

and oh, as i watch her
she looks off into the distance
from where she will ever be--
this appertaining apparition.

i cannot help
but to fall utterly in love because
that moment, acquainted with my soul,
draws from me an undying urge:
to know her flawless essence.

vacant

 pondering
in an empty room,
i bleed my soul into another
vague possibility

the buttermilk skies
paint a beautiful scene while
the sleepy sun gleams one last time
into this sacrificial prison

confusion swells while
binding me to my most distant
haunting moment:
the night
she lifted the veil from my
fragmented heart.

shadows
make an effort to silence
the echo and yet,
it looms undyingly of consent

i sense i've now become
what i feared the most

vacant.

when the silence invites me in

when the silence invites me in
when the shadows take my heart
when the thought of never trying
embraces in the dark

when I fail to find my way
and drift into the night
when I can't help myself
from feeling quite as nice

when I dwell inside my head
when my blindness finds me there
I wonder if they see
how I hide beneath my layers

when I seem so much aloof
when my aim is so unfocused
when my intellect is off
I wonder do they notice?

To Dance Beyond The Moon

Photobucket

along that empty road
and past the tree that stands
my dreams resemble life
settled by an empty hand

from where I am alone
afar with no one there
unto deep and darkened gloom
there's a feeling I cannot bear

how it aches to seldom hear
your voice of echoed love
the impression of light within
the rhythm of all you've done

and I dare to walk the distance
if it means to be with you
I swear we'll meet one day
to dance beyond the moon

The Distance You've Traveled

Who is it that can understand
when things take form in shadows
when there's nowhere to turn to
how can you mangle
the distance that you've traveled
when sleepless nights die to blanket your eyes
is it for a lifetime alone
I can remember when I first saw you
the very essence I've longed
captured on a night of reminiscence
when your heart fell against my fear
lost and unknown while never to the light
have I ever appeared
masses of ocean abided us
like a million beautiful something's
I wonder now what you think of me
whether your thoughts have turned into nothing
