Mirror

Unspoken through the echoing mind
And by the pen which strokes with ink
I breathe and attain her every beauty
While the desires within my heart awake
For what I long, I pray to touch
To be her life for always, I
Unmask the secrets in her soul, oh me
How I wish to kiss her lips tonight
And in love I am as the day I gazed
Within her eyes, how it made me tear
Blooming our fate to be together
Deep in our essence, we truly mirror

The Fate of All My Love

Engrave me in my wearied skin
And guide me on the way
Vowed somewhere away from here
Where you found me not astray
The height of all the things you tell
Dawn to endless hours
Tell me now please wait for me
Like spring to thirsty flowers
Binding by a peacefulness
Which bleeds out from the heavens
Thoughts of you in mended poems
From where my soul descended
Measures of a hopeful dream
Living in each day
The silence had awakened me
Revealing I had played
Dead in times I could not face
Each thought that I had yearned
Confessing how you needed me
Reflecting what had burned
In the depth of my dimensions
Mirroring who I was
Fielding over earthly breath
The fate of all my love

The Soul of An Angel

Somewhere within, across the distance
Escaping my slumber and dreams
These frozen images beyond the twilight
Do mystify me in beauty

By roses thorns which have bled my finger
And prayers I've cried to the stars
I seek out the night forever for hope
In a mirror which bares my heart

I've wilted and loved to see all the while
The moment I can fly free
To embrace deep within every moment as true
Just as charms and wishes that keep

The soul of an angel who cries down from heaven
Trying to wither away the pain
Of every nightmare this world had endured
To hold it all again

Feelings of Deep Wonder

through all my feelings of deep wonder
engraved within a poem
like candlelight that shone against
the mirror, that once had shown

through the eyes of all my reasons
passing time away
all my thoughts that will take me there
beyond my selfish ways

hear my whispers as my words
do cling to honest hope
see me deep within dimensions
of merging winding roads

that created but this single path
i'd never known existed
it's time i learned to take whatever
endeavors had persisted

to plant a tree within my life
of eden's poison apple
things that once forbade me so
to crawl beyond the shadows

not too soon, it was you who felt
across the stories laced
things that once looked down on me
in all your goodness, and for grace

A Poet's Tale

"These heavens drown me within your tangle
Of webbed mercy I do adore
Not I, no never had seemed embraced
By the divine language which angels pour"

~Excerpt from the poem "Unconcealed"
~
O once as seemingly a poet whose soul
Wept solely across the distance of yonder
Too unfair, unjust, his lifetime un-whole
Longed for one whose fairness was fonder
Than those who'd whisper of nothing with grace
To echo his words and guide through with heart
The bearing of life; such life there would lace
With nothing of awe to paint out in part
Over feelings as low as the lowest of cost
With things for which he'd always adore
This man whose worth has always been lost
Gave nothing to every thought that he bore
One day a maiden as fair as a queen
Took way across his path where he found
To his astonishment the one who he'd seen
Within the idea of the dreams that he bound
Unto his desire on the softest of nights
What soothing expression he saw in her eyes
And with this moment he found in new heights
An end to every ounce of his cries
So quite thereafter in dwelling he took
His quill to engrave with ink into ode
A gesture of love in his poetry book
To claim it was she that heaven bestowed
A surge of worldly affection through naught
Which flowed through him in every mere aim
To win this creature who captured his thought
His heart, his soul which now burn as flame
What mad enrichment it was when they met
So righteous, so pure; O this lies in fate
Life grants the poet no moment to fret
When all with love and feeling create
Such wonder in splendor, what deepened mystique
She impressed and laid upon him so fair
Granting angels a voice for she would bespeak
Of how the gesture he made was so rare
For she'd once known a pain that revealed
To her a loneliness which caused her to weep
So here the poet who remarkably sealed
In the poem a love she'd tenderly keep
Would not give chance to any who dared
To cross her path with intention of harm
For he would die if ever she flared
and ceased to where no beauty would charm
Their years and years of undying in love
Set no limit to wherever they've gone
This poet, his queen for always thereof
A passion that mirrors the heavenly dawn

Forever

Our souls escape through heartache
At every crossroad
No angel there to greet us
We watch it all go

Faded from the moment
You find yourself lost
Seek me out to save you
No matter what it costs

Steal my memory
From the places you fell
Shine upon my grave
Just like an angel

I'll smile for your beauty
Dear mirror of my heart
Alone as we whisper
To each other in the dark

There's something too familiar
Of the words you speak
Before this lifetime
I feel I once believed

My soul escaped through heartache
For a withered rose
The angel there to greet me
Died in this poem
