[i long in solitude for life]

Posted by Robert Anderson On Saturday, November 12, 2011 0 comments

i long in solitude for life
while sitting on the floor
it's cold and i endure my pain
for whom i still adore
no verse to write is with me now
no beauty in my dreams
i long in solitude for life
or so it surely seems
as tears crawl out from both my eyes
beneath the cloak of night
i tremble at the thought that love
may never greet my sight
and oh, i long as though i'd die
to have the one i need
while my delusions hold me near
and all my feelings bleed

extradition

i drift into shades of
extradition,
mud at my feet while
the muted silver skies seep
their looming confusion into the earth

thunder beckons but
i'll linger here awhile;
cold and unwanted by
the very breath which bore me
life... without love

where am i? how will i get
to where i think
i am going?

unclear of
what answer i could possibly offer
to solace
i mourn
my aching heart
unto oblivion

sadness reaches, such...
loneliness consume me
as unbearably as ever, it seems

i'm so glad for the rain... so
glad.

and as i try to untangle
this brokenness fluently burdens
my eclipsing mind

oh, heaven save me.

my disappearance

these
antidepressants
won't let me be

i linger inside helplessly
hoping that the affection i write
for my dearest doesn't wither
from the fragility
of my heart

to be more saddened than they presently know
empowers me with all that moodiness they find
whenever i passionately shed the light of
my immortal soul

and now
i canvass through the depth my mind:
will they still "love" me
after i am utterly vacant from
the 'me' they have always held
before their delighted
beautiful
eyes...

will they even
remember
me?

valediction

there against
the obscuring of your empyrean abode

remains the ebony crook
that yearns my unrivaled

valediction
