i left
to tread upon a path
i had no intent to remain on
walked an empty back road
and happened upon a picturesque view
during an hour in which
perfection sought
life
so beautiful...
my muse embraced
and traveled
to fetch my soul
breathless
of the way the shadows reached
lost and mesmerized
a delicate feature caught my eye:
the bird who flew the sun away
and i thought
i could write a poem here
