silence instills

such silence instills within
and summons me to beckon you;
oh, you who are seldom coy to the fact
that discretion is a barrier

i know, i know how love is
evermore the reason,
naturally entwined
two hearts bare all... you
practically die

when will i drift into dreams as you
quite often do
dear, spiritual dweller,
how will i get there?

printed softly by the feel you leave are
scented tracings of wherever you've been
while verging on that unhinged route;
an impracticable thing

loyalty whispers and you
must go,
yes, go... go  home...

go home then
echo sacredly in the wind
and calm until silence instills
yet again

extradition

i drift into shades of
extradition,
mud at my feet while
the muted silver skies seep
their looming confusion into the earth

thunder beckons but
i'll linger here awhile;
cold and unwanted by
the very breath which bore me
life... without love

where am i? how will i get
to where i think
i am going?

unclear of
what answer i could possibly offer
to solace
i mourn
my aching heart
unto oblivion

sadness reaches, such...
loneliness consume me
as unbearably as ever, it seems

i'm so glad for the rain... so
glad.

and as i try to untangle
this brokenness fluently burdens
my eclipsing mind

oh, heaven save me.

servile

baiting my confessions,
the crossbones she hypnotically bares
chain me soundly by my heart
then lead me to a place i only thought
i truly knew

i trickle love
for the last thing she's ever whispered
to my death-knelt nobility

the utterance of that despair,
mirrored from her fragility,
assailed its taste from those muted silver skies

and the barren lands we wander
bewail debris
until at last i fall; crawling to death once more
before the night engulfs the earth

she inspires me to rise...
yes, to rise once again and follow her stricken soul
to wherever she may go

heaven's shoal

"i watch the night sky while standing before the ocean. have you ever thought what they both see? while gazing upward the ocean has a perfect view of all of heaven. and heaven? well, when you consider what she sees it's like she staring into a mirror. both attuned to each other only not... heaven is all they both really see." -- Robert Anderson

heaven's shoal

it's as though i must
paint from the very view
which all of heaven sees
while gazing down to
the ocean's shoal

and as i
meagerly attempt to convey
how you reflect these
blue fragments of me
undyingly from the crevices
of my soul,
i yearn for you... yearn
for only
you
and cry

the darkened shades of your
majesty imply to me
that you're as i have always been,
am, and ever will be
for the sake
of my ambiguous dreams

you are my own
inner secret
self

i love you
