the tone of your salty silence retorts
to have me unknowing of what
i could possibly say to sever myself
from the awkwardness
of ever speaking my heart
to begin with

for oh, my soul...
how it never ceased to intermingle with the existence
of my every dream while i
have only whispered of
unbiased beauty through its
perpetual essence

see i was afraid, afraid
'til i gasped my final breath before uttering
what i could only hope would release you from yourself:
